Project Contact
Overview
Keene Media Intelligence builds small prototype tools for music discovery and media workflows. Our main current project is MusicScanner, a private alpha iPhone app that helps listeners quickly scan music from trusted sources. When a song catches their ear, they can choose Play Full Song and keep listening. We are exploring careful pilot integrations with source partners, including station-approved recent-play data, while keeping partner keys and source systems protected.
Materials
Partner-facing summaries for private discussions, pilot planning, and source collaboration.

Capability Statement
Keene Media Intelligence builds private prototype tools for music discovery, source-aware products, and small media workflow experiments.
What we are building
- Music discovery apps
- Recent-play discovery
- Source-aware discovery prototypes
- Partner-facing concept pages
- Lightweight pilot review tools
How pilots work
We start small. Pilot work can be limited to private demos and controlled source tests so attribution, display rules, and partner needs are clear before anything broader.
Careful source handling
We use licensed listening paths where available. For partner or station-approved recent-play data, the goal is to protect keys and source systems through a server-side relay/cache.
System concept
Platform Overview
MusicScanner connects music sources to a fast scan experience. It is for listener discovery, not for running a station, and it does not manage station playlists or logs.
Source layer
Apple Music, public radio, station-approved recent-play data, curated playlists, and future indie sources.
Discovery layer
Scans, search, curated packs, library mix, saved songs, and recent-play discovery.
Future app layer
On-device curation, music understanding, and voice intent controls for safer hands-free discovery.
Delivery layer
iPhone prototype screens, partner-facing pages, and simple pilot review materials.
Partner-safe connection
- Server-side relay/cache for partner APIs when needed
- No partner keys embedded in client apps
- Support for attribution and source display rules
Illustrative pilot material
Pilot Review Concept
This is a simple example of how pilot activity could be reviewed with a source partner. It is illustrative only, not a station report.
What it could show
- Discovery themes from connected or curated sources
- Source connection readiness
- Discovery flow summaries
- Simple concept modules for partner review
Pilot note
Any review view would be shaped by the pilot scope, source permissions, attribution rules, and partner display needs.
Private alpha concept
MusicScanner
Fast music discovery from your library, charts, and live music sources. MusicScanner helps listeners scan short previews from trusted music sources, then choose Play Full Song when something catches their ear.
What it does
Music discovery is scattered across playlists, charts, short-form video, public radio, personal libraries, and saved tracks. MusicScanner brings those sources into one fast scan experience. Listeners can preview songs, choose Play Full Song, and save discoveries for later.
Current prototype sources
- Apple Music library mix
- Apple Music charts
- Curated discovery packs
- Search by playlist, song, or artist
- KEXP live/recent-play discovery
- Saved Songs and artist scans
- Apple Music Library save flow
Responsible source integration
- MusicScanner does not manage station playlists or logs.
- It does not replace existing station systems.
- Uses licensed listening paths where available.
- Partner keys should never be embedded in the iPhone app.
- Partner or station-approved recent-play data should flow through a server-side relay/cache.
- Attribution and source display needs can be supported.
- Pilot integrations can be limited, cached, and reviewed before broader release.
Future source layer
- Public radio and station-approved recent-play data
- Station-feed relay integrations
- Spinitron-style recent-play metadata
- Indie / hidden-gems discovery sources
- On-device curation intelligence
- Voice intent controls for safer hands-free discovery
